PLAY UP TIRED EYES

The eyes are the window to the soul, or so the old saying goes. To create fabulous window dressings, try these easy tips:

Delete Dark Circles - Diminish the appearance of dark undereye circles with a concealer that matches your skin tone. Use a small, flat brush to apply a light coat of concealer up to your lash line, blending completely. Set it by patting the area lightly with a clean, damp sponge and then finish with powder.

Decrease the Creases - To prevent your eyeshadow from creasing, start with a light coat of concealer or foundation, followed by a dusting of translucent powder and your eyeshadow. Use a powder eyeshadow, rather than a liquid which will crease more easily, and light shades without any shimmer to diminish the appearance of any creases that do develop.

Pencil It In - Save the liquid eyeliner for dramatic evening eyes; a pencil will give you a much softer effect. Choose one with nylon-12 which will last longer and won't fade or flake.

Mascara to Cry Over - If you love the staying-power of waterproof mascaras, but hate how they flake or irritate your contact lenses, try one that contains beeswax. They are more malleable and won't flake. Also try a water-resistant mascara such as L'Oréal FeatherLash - it's easier to remove at the end of the day, but won't run unless you rub. Another option is Kanebo regular mascara that won't come off unless the water is warmer than your natural tears.
