PACKING TIPS

Whether you're heading off for an extended vacation or just getting away for the weekend, packing can be a challenge. The key is to pack as little as possible, but enough so you look fabulous and are prepared for any occasion. Here are some tips for packing smarter:

Keep it Simple
Pack lightweight and versatile items that can be worn day and evening, and in a neutral shade that you can mix and match, creating more outfits out of fewer pieces. Slip in a pair of jeans, a flirty skirt, a blazer for cool evenings, several fitted t-shirts, and a classic cardigan.

Accessorize
Keep bulky accessories, such as handbags and shoes, to a minimum. Try limiting yourself to just three pairs of shoes: tennis shoes for wearing on the plane and walking or working out, wedge espadrilles, and a pair of dress shoes for nights out. In a lingerie bag, pack your swimsuit and cover-ups. Save space by storing smaller handbags in larger ones.

Edit Your Beauty Kit
Leave your bulky hair dryer or adapter at home; the hotel will have one in the room. Stock up on travel-size toiletries to save space, and limit your makeup bag to concealer, creamy blush that can double as eyeshadow, black mascara, lip liner, and lip gloss with a light tint.

Save Space
Remember that you'll probably do a bit of shopping while on vacation, so leave certain items at home. For instance, leave out most of your jewelry and buy several unique pieces wherever you travel.
