We all have those days when it's all we can do to get ourselves out of the house wearing clothes that coordinate, and with a new baby in the house, you may experience more of those days than you can imagine. When you don't have much time, but still want to put your best face forward, try these quick makeup routines:
Showcase Beautiful Skin
Begin by moisturizing your skin to temporarily plump fine lines and smooth skin, and then apply a sunscreen if your moisturizer doesn't already include one. Choose one that is at least SPF 15 that blocks broad spectrum UVA/UVB rays.
Even out your skin tone using light-reflecting concealer in a C-shape around the nostrils to neutralize redness, and along the lower lash line to lighten undereye circles. Hide blemishes and other areas with a matte concealer, using a flat brush.
Finish your look by giving your skin a luscious glow with a luminizer or bronzer from your cheekbones to your brow bone.
Highlight Your Eyes
Apply concealer anywhere there's a bit of darkness, such as the inner corners of your eyes, and feather it out along the lower lash line. Next, curl your lashes, starting at the base and working your way out to the tips.
Use your fingertips to apply a shimmery beige shadow from lash line to brow. This adds a dewy sheen and creates a neutral backdrop to set off your lashes. Brush on a single coat of black mascara, concentrating on the upper lashes. This will give you an understated look that's perfect for daytime and you're less likely to end up with smudges if you don't apply any to your lower ones.
If you have time, brush a taupe shadow a shade darker than your base shadow along your lower lash line and in the crease of your eyelid.
Make Yourself Blush
Sweep a bronzer lightly across your eyelids and down the bridge of your nose, where the sun would naturally hit it. Add a pink blush to the apples of your cheeks, blending in using a circular motion so you don't end up with fake-looking stripes.
Give a polished look to your eye area by combing a clear gel through your eyebrows to frame your eyes.
Finally, apply a sheer gloss to your lips to add just a hint of color that won't draw attention away from your cheeks.
