We've all had those mornings: one too many hits of the snooze button, the shower from which you just can't pull yourself, and that second cup of coffee; suddenly you're twenty minutes late and still have to blow dry your hair. What's a girl in a hurry to do? Here's how to go from damp to vamp in record time.
Squeeze excess water out from your hair after your shower and apply a styling product appropriate for your hair type: volumizer at the roots for fine hair, mousse or gel for thicker hair. Work the product through your hair with your fingers before smoothing with a wide-tooth comb.
Use a salon-quality dryer on high heat and medium speed to blast roots, lifting hair with your fingers as you go. Continue until roots are dry and ends are still damp.
Part your hair ear to ear, two inches back from your hairline and loosely clip the front section to keep it out of the way. Using a large round brush and the highest heat and speed settings on your blow dryer, dry the unclipped portion of your hair, one chunk at a time. Finally, unclip a three-inch section of the front of your hair (re-clipping the rest) and dry it at a 90-degree angle from your head. When dry, flip it back over your head, part it, and spritz with shine spray. Continue this until the front portion is completely dry. Finish with a spritz of finishing spray all over.
